Our memory wall is a shared space dedicated to honoring those who were part of the SCI family, whether they lived with a spinal cord injury, loved someone who did, or worked to improve the lives of individuals affected by spinal cord injuries.
Spinal Research were saddened to hear about the passing of Professor John Priestley who died recently after a long illness.
John made a vital contribution to the field of neuroscience throughout distinguished career.
He also played a crucial role within Spinal Research, as Chair of our Scientific Advisory Committee (2001) and as Chairman of the charity for three years until 2010.
During his chairmanship, he helped to shape and restructure the charity’s medium- and long-term research strategy. It is testament to his principles and vision that some of John's ideas can still be seen in our work today.
